Sacred Conflict – Disagreeing for the sake of heaven.

November learning is generously co-sponsored by the Annie Bass Yellen Scholar Fund.
It is present no matter how hard we try to avoid difficult situations. Conflict isn’t a question of “if,” but “how” we engage. Our lives hold deeper meaning when we have discipline and when we can interface and disagree with each other with dignity. In this month we’ll explore the concept of machlocket shem shamayim: disagreement for the sake of heaven.

Arguments about religion, or in the name of God, are often the ugliest disputes people have, yet arguing about those very things is a sacred tradition going back to Abraham! In order to make these engaging and relevant learning options open to as many people as possible, we have decided to offer almost all of the programming at no charge, thanks to the generosity of many Adas members. At the same time, we still cannot possibly expect to cover all the costs associated with producing these important programs without additional support from you. When you register for an event, you will be presented with the option to offer a donation. Thanks in advance for your support.
