Youth@AI is a fun, friendly, energetic program that allows young people to connect, celebrate their Jewish spirit. We have youth groups and activities for four different age ranges, from K-2 to high school. We hope to see you all at these upcoming, fun events! For all ages – Next Up: Oct 23 @ 6pm. Register Here Meets monthly on Friday night: Join us the first weekend of the month for Friday night Shabbat services and dinner for families, children, grandparents and all members. Services are led by our clergy with the help of our students.

For children 5 and under (and parents) Meets weekly on Saturday mornings at 11am Led by Menuhah Peters, Tot Shabbat has captivated our youngest Adas members and their parents for years.

     
Adam Youth Service
Netivot
For K-3rd graders Meets weekly on Saturday mornings at 11am
Netivot is Hebrew for pathways. Our children are ready to begin building their leadership skills in a prayer service.
 
Junior Congregation / Parsha Shiur
For 4th – 6th graders Junior Congregation meets 2-3 times a month on Saturday mornings at 11am. On alternating weeks with Junior Congregation, we will offer Parsha Shuir – a Torah service, followed by facilitated study of the weekly Torah portion. If your child is participating in Junior Congregation, please take a few moments to complete our participation survey.

We are thrilled to announce that we will be expanding our Madrichim program for the upcoming 2015-2016 program year. In addition to the option of classroom assistance in the Estelle & Melvin Gelman Religious School on Sunday mornings, we now have the following exciting opportunities:

  • Hebrew Tutoring, with the options of Sunday mornings or Tuesday or Wednesday afternoons during Religious School hours
  • Torah Club assistance on Tuesday evenings from 6:30pm-7:45pm
  • Youth@AI counselors to help run Machar (grades K-5) and Kadima (grades 6-8) programs on occasional Saturday evenings and/or Sunday afternoons after Religious School
  • Junior Congregation and other Saturday morning Shabbat programs; assisting youth service leaders in davening, leyning, and facilitiation, as well as serving as mentors for new participants

Return Again to Adas on Friday, February 12 as we're joined by 20+ teens from Congregation B'Nai Israel from Boca Raton, FL. Our Floridian friends joined us two years ago for Return Again and had so much fun that they've decided to…return again! We'll do services at 6:30 with dinner afterwards, followed by dessert and some fun mixers, AIUSY style. Show Florida how awesome DC is. Be there!

Ramah Day Camp
It is with great excitement that we announce the second season of the Ramah Day Camp of Greater Washington, DC housed at the beautiful Wellspring Conference Center in Germantown, MD! The camp will operate from Monday, June 27 until Friday, August 5 with two to six-week options (with a minimum of two consecutive weeks) and be open to campers entering kindergarten to 5th grade. The Games are an Olympic-style sporting competition held each summer in North America, and the second largest organized sports program for Jewish teenagers in the world.
